Natural remedies to treat haemorrhoids
Haemorrhoids are often caused by digestive problems, certain hormonal changes (pregnancy, pre-menstrual syndrome, etc.) or poor dietary habits.
Here are a few simple and natural recommendations to follow as well as one of the following remedies:
– Avoid eating foods that are too fatty, too sugary, too salty or too spicy
– Go for organic fruit, vegetables and whole grains
– Drink plenty of water
– Exercise regularly, at least three times a week
Natural treatment with apple cider vinegar
Soak some cotton wool in cider vinegar and apply it to the affected area. Leave it to work for 30 minutes. Repeat 4 or 5 times a day.
If you have internal haemorrhoids, freeze a little cotton ball soaked in cider vinegar and insert in into the anus.
Alternative method:
Add a teaspoon of cider vinegar to a glass of water. Mix it and drink it with your lunch and dinner. Cider vinegar has antibacterial and antifungal properties which will reduce itching and relieve pain.
Natural treatment with green clay
The antibacterial and antifungal properties of green clay will accelerate healing of the blood vessels and cleanse the area.
Apply it as a poultice.
Anti-haemorrhoid treatment with olive oil
The moisturising effect of the olive oil will relieve the pain associated with haemorrhoids and will protect the skin from injury.
