Between electric epilators and wax strips, hair removal, at least in the beginning, can be a veritable torture. So for those of you who don’t buy the idea that “pain is beauty” (an expression only fit for the bin), here are a few recipes for home made natural creams that will help you painlessly achieve permanent hair removal!

1) Permanent and natural depilatory recipe

  • 2 teaspoons of organic turmeric
  • 2 tablespoons of organic whole wheat flour
  • 50 mls of milk
  • a pinch of salt

Method and directions for use:

Mix all of the ingredients until you obtain a liquid like paste, with no lumps.

Soak a makeup brush in the paste and apply it to the area you would like to treat. Rub the skin against the direction of the hair growth to uproot the hairs.

This recipe won’t remove the hairs from the first time you use it, but it will prevent the regrowth.

You can apply it up to 3 times a week maximum, and it works effectively on any part of the body.

2) Depilatory mask for permanent removal of facial hair

The antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties of the turmeric used in this recipe can prevent hair regrowth.

Ingredients :

  • 1 or 2 teaspoons of turmeric (1 spoon per treatment area)
  • just enough water or milk to make a paste

Method and directions for use:

Mix the ground turmeric with a little water or milk to form a paste. Apply the paste to your face, leave it to work for 15 to 20 minutes, and rinse with lukewarm water.

Do not repeat this facial treatment more than twice a week. After several uses, you should notice a clear reduction in hair regrowth.

3) Natural hair removal cream for thick hairs

  • ½ bowl of chickpea flour
  • ½ bowl of milk
  • 1 teaspoon of turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon of crème fraîche

Method and directions for use:

Mix the chickpea flower, the turmeric, the milk and the crème fraîche in a bowl to form a smooth paste.

Apply this paste to the area for hair removal, going in the direction of the hair growth. The paste should cover all of the hairs you want to remove. Leave it to work for 30 minutes and scrub the relevant areas with your hands in the opposite direction of the hair growth. Rinse with lukewarm water.

Apply this paste a maximum of two to three times a week in order to prevent regrowth.
