Cysts form growths which can have several origins including an infection, a blocked sebaceous gland or lymph node or the presence of a a toxin or foreign body.  They slowly start to grow until the become large and unaesthetic.  If a cyst becomes painful you should consult with your doctor.  Here are five natural cyst remedies from Emmanuel Luttwiller, a naturopathic doctor from Grenoble, which could help prevent inflammation.

1) Organic aloe vera gel

Organic and pure Aloe Vera contains more than 200 benefits for our health and skin.  It is one of the most common natural remedies used to treat skin problems and infections such as burns, sunburn or skin inflammation outbreaks.  Apply as small blob of gel onto the cyst several times per day.  You can also drink 2 to 3 tablespoons of Aloe Vera juice per day to help eliminate toxins that could be causing the cyst.

2) Dandelion tea

Dandelion is known for it’s purifying benefits as it can clean toxins from the blood which helps to progressively and naturally reduce a cyst.

Mix two tea spoons of dandelion root powder into the equivalent of three cups of water.  Heat up the mixture on a low heat for 10 minutes and then remove from the heat.  Wait for 10 minutes before filtering and then drink.  (You can drink up to three cups per day.)

3)  Organic apple cider vinegar

Apple cider vinegar is effective at naturally regulating the skin’s pH, eliminating impurities (acne, cysts) but also for soothing burns and itchiness.

Organic, non-pasturised vinegar is preferable as it contains beneficial yeasts and good bacteria.  Soak a piece of cotton in the cider vinegar and apply it onto the cyst. Repeat this process several times per day.

Boil the equivalent of a cup of water and add two teaspoons of powdered burdock root, mix together and leave to infuse for around 15 minutes.  Filter the mixture after having taken it off the heat.  You can drink up to 3 cups per day.

5) Crinkled sorrel

Crinkled sorrel is a medicinal plant known for it’s purifying properties.  It can detoxify the blood which can help to slowly but effectively eliminate cysts.
