With the cold of winter, our lips tend to dry out and lose their natural pink colour, and can even become chapped or cracked. To prevent this from happening and to get the fullness back in your lips, before considering collagen injections, we propose a recipe for an exfoliant and lip balm, both of which are completely natural.

Recipe for a natural scrub for fuller lips

Ingredients

  • 2 dessertspoons of granulated sugar
  • 1 dessertspoon of brown sugar
  • 1 dessertspoon of olive oil, coconut oil or sweet almond oil
  • 1 sterilised glass container with a cover

Method

In a container, mix all of the ingredients until you get a smooth paste. Use a funnel to pour this paste into your sterilised glass container. Once it is sealed, you can store the mixture in the fridge for around 3 weeks.

Gently massage your lips with a little of this mixture, forming circles with your fingers for around one minute. You can also use an old clean toothbrush for a more pleasant sensation. Rinse your lips with warm water and dry them with a towel.

Repeat once a week maximum. This exfoliating massage aims to stimulate the blood circulation in your lips to give them a fuller appearance.

Natural lip balm for soft lips

After the natural scrub, the dead skin cells on your lips will be removed and your lips will already be fuller and softer. Hydrate them with this natural lip balm, which you can apply daily!

Ingredients

  • Olive oil, coconut oil or sweet almond oil
  • Cocoa butter or shea butter

Method

Wash your hands and face.

Put a pea-sized amount of shea butter or cocoa butter on the back of your left hand and add a drop of the oil of your choice. Mix them on the back of your hand and apply this balm to your lips with your fingers.

Use daily in winter time, for perfectly hydrated, beautiful lips! In milder weather, once a week should suffice.
